SALINE TWP., MI —A rural community south of Ann Arbor is grappling with whether to approve an energy company’s proposal to build a utility-scale lithium battery power storage facility on agricultural land.

Saline Township residents had questions of concern for national energy firm Jupiter Power at a Tuesday, April 1, meeting of the township’s planning commission.
